Online Training Program Components
A company or organization can create its own "Online University" by putting together the two main pieces of an online training program. These are 1) the LMS and 2) the Presentations.
LMS stands for Learning Management System. This is the combination of databases that contain the courses, the list of students and other components such as exams, quizzes, completion certificates, reports, calendars and other items. The LMS co-ordinates and tracks the overall training experience.
The presentations are creating using special authoring software that generates a group of files that are uploaded to an LMS. Most presentations are 15 to 60 minutes in length and include a variety of student interactions. They typically appear in a video presentation format with Play and Pause controls.
The Delta Business Training Learning Management System (LMS)
Our LMS was designed specifically for businesses and government organizations. It has had many custom features added to it as a result of feedback from our clients over the past ten years. At the core is a user interface that is extremely intuitive - the learner knows exactly where to go to find their list of courses, how to launch the courses, and how to access completion certificates. Administrators can easily manage their own enrollments, can preview courses, and can read or download a variety of reports. With the use of Custom Login pages, organizations can have their learners login directly from their own web-sites.
The Delta Business Training Presentations
Our presentations are developed by educational technology experts using the latest authoring software available. These presentations incorporate learning games, multi-media, and various forms of student interaction to provide the most effective experience possible for today's busy adult learners. Our courses are typically developed with color schemes and logos provided by our clients. Students see an interface and a presentation that is part of their own organization.
The Delta Business Training "Live" Online Training
We also incorporate technology to allow clients to deliver training online that is live. Students log in at a designated time and hear an instructor, see a presentation and a whiteboard and also engage in live chats.
